I may not be as educated as Owumi but as far as football is concerned I’m a professor. You have to do your best in combining football and education. With determination you will go places.”

On his part, Owumi urged the players to “grab this opportunity the state governor has provided  to develop a career in football.”

Captain of the 1980 Nations Cup winning Eagles, Chukwu advised the students to be disciplined adding that “if you are discipline you can go far and achieve more than we did.”

Delta state governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, assured the students that the state government would assist the stars of the competition to reach “the highest level in your football careers.”

Comprehensive Secondary School defeated Adaigbo Secondary School 3-0 with MVP Felix Oseme scoring a brace.

“If I had my way I would sign him (Oseme) on in any junior team of a club right away,” Owumi said.
