National U-23 team coach Samson Siasia has revealed that the $200,000 cheque given to them by Japanese billionaire is still with him.
According to Soccernet, Siasia alongside Sports Minister Solomon Dalung and President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick were guests on Tuesday Night Live, a program broadcasted on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) on August 30 where he disclosed that he was in possession of the cheque they received from the surgeon after defeating Honduras 3-2 in the third place match.
Siasia said: "The cheque of $200,000 is with me and the $190,000 is with Mikel Obi,” declares Siasia.
“Let us let the world know that the money is not ours and it is supposed to be shared amongst everyone.
"So they shouldn't think the money is in my house because I am not with it."
Recall that there were reports that officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) wanted to hijack the donation of wealthy Japanese man Katsuya Takasu to the Dream team VI totalling $390,000.
Moreover, Siasia recently called it quits working with the glass house and also appealed to the NFF that all he wanted was he back log of salaries paid in full.
