Still dragging the hangover from their weekend’s elimination from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, the Indomitable Lions failed to put up any commendable resistance against their hosts, who seemingly used much of the game as a training session.

Conducting the Los Cafeteros attacking line, FC Porto’s striker Jackson Martinez bungled a couple of chances before opening the scoring 24 minutes from time to keep their visitors more at their mercy.

However, Jean-Paul Akono’s men were able to check the damages by keeping the deficit at 1-0 before the break despite the unflagging onslaught, but their woes would continue after the hour mark when Carlos Bacca of Belgian side FC Bruges doubled with a sublime finish that left the Cameroonian defenders in awe.

The visitors played the rest of the game without steam, ceding much of their territory to the Colombians who could have obtained more goals if not for sloppy coordination upfront.

Parma forward Dorlan Pabon wrapped it up to 3-0 in the 82nd minute, infusing more inspiration to Colombia’s groundwork for the forthcoming Fifa World Cup qualifying campaign, leaving the Cameroonians still doubtful about the future of the onetime brilliant national team.
