Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare failed to win the final of the women’s 100m final of the London 2012 Olympics Games.
The race was won by Jamaica’s Fraser-Pryce in 10.75secs.
Okagbare finished last in the 100m final, running at 11.01secs.
She refused to speak to the media, claiming, “Ive got cramps I cant stand.”
She had qualified in the second round on Saturday evening, posting a personal best time of 10.92secs.
Her compatriot, Regina George, out of the second round of the women’s 400m final.
After her dismal performance, Regina said, “I have no regrets; this is a simple learning process for me. This is my first Olympics.” Gloria Asunmu failed to qualify for the women’s 100m final. She came fifth (11.21) in her semi-final.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Amaechi Morton stopped midway into men’s 400m hurdles claiming pains in his legs.
Ogho-Oghene Egwero, Peter Emelieze and Obinna Metu all failed to qualify for the men’s 100m semi-finals.
