NWFL, NNL Move Matches for Easter

The leadership of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and the Nigeria National League (NNL) have shifted this weekend's Matchday 4 and 15 games respectively to next week.

This is to enable the players celebrate the Easter festivity with their families.

However, surprising results are expected when hostilities resume next Wednesday at the various centres, especially in the women's league.

In Jalingo, Taraba Queens will strive to snatch a point from the group leaders, Delta Queens, who have been ruthless in their goalscoring act this season. The Taraba side have not been able to secure a point in the league but chance shocking the Asaba-based side.

Shettima Babes will be guests to Standard Queens. The Abuja side were able to secure maximum points last weekend, but the N1 million question is how they will be able to return from Aba with a point.

Osun Babes will not spare anything to pick all the points at stake as they confront the Adamawa Queens. With the determination shown so far by Aregbe Queens, it will be difficult for them to drop points at home.

Inneh Queens will travel to the Confluence State to play the Kogi Confluence Queens. This match, adjudged the star match of the group, will see the two teams going for each other's jocular.

The last match of the group will be in Lagos where FC Robo will play hosts to Nasarawa Amazons.

In Group B, the star match will be in Calabar where Rivers Angels are home to Pelican Stars. The match will see the home side parade top national stars like Sunday Uchechi, Gloria Ofoegbu, Gloria Iroka, Cecilia Nku, Ebere Ngozi, Stella Mbachu among others.

Ibom Angels will take their winning prowess a little further against the Tokas Babes. No one doubts the fact that the Angels from Uyo will pick the maximum points at stake.

Tewo Babes will neither be lucky against the aggrieved Sunshine Queens. The Mimiko side almost snatched an away point, but loss of concentration in Abuja last weekend.

FCT Queens will trade tackles with Bayelsa Queens. The Capital Queens will want to tell their numerous fans that their win over Sunshine Queens last weekend was not a fluke after all.
