Police were called to the Hertfordshire hotel where Success became embroiled in a dispute with his guests, and the Watford boss refused to confirm whether his forward would be disciplined.

But Silva said: “The player and everyone else at the club knows their obligations as professionals and they know the rules.

“People who love football don't like this situation. Football is his life, he needs to be careful and know the right way.

The Watford boss then added “Does he have a future here? I can't talk now as the player is injured. Maybe some of you won't believe me, because he has not played one minute in the Premier League this season, but I'm really happy with his improvement.

“Our obligation is to put the player in the right way, but you can't do this every time. He is a young player and he knows.”

In-form Watford will however have to pay less attention to their troubled troubled striker and focus on their next league match, as they will be hosting Arsenal on Saturday
