Super Eagles right back Shehu Abdullahi won the One Million naira (N1,000,000) prize money for Man of the Match (MOM) in the Nigeria versus Zambia World cup qualifier played in Uyo, on Saturday, October 7.
Abdullahi will also walk away with 10 bags of rice for his man of the match display in the tension soaked encounter.
The cheque was presented to the Nigeria international who plies his trade for Anorthosis club in Cyprus shortly after Nigeria won the match by 1-0 through Alex Iwobi’s goal at the 73rd minutes.
Abdullahi who picked up a yellow card in the game provided the assist for Iwobi to slot home from close range after a nice build up play.
Iwobi goal in the 73rd minute takes Nigeria to 13 points on the log and against the reach of Zambia who have 7 points with a game in hand.
