Nigerian football legend Austin Okocha has urged Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham to reconsider the option of him playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Recently, the attacker who is currently on loan at Swansea City denied the report that he has accepted to switch his allegiance to play for Nigeria.
This comes after the Nigerian FA boss Amaju Pinnick had stated emphatically that the player would later agree to play for Nigeria at full international level.
Okocha who was a joy to watch during his active playing days has now warned Tammy Abraham to reject playing for England and grab the chance of playing for Nigeria.
“The competition for a place in the England team is very tough because there are a lot of good young players now.
“For me personally I would say he should play for Nigeria as he would have a better chance of going to the World Cup.” Okocha explained.
