Spanish giants Barcelona defeated La Liga new boys Girona 3-0 in their La Liga matchday six tie.
The first two goals for the night came from own goals after much pressure from the visitors in the 17th and 48 minute of the game.
Luis Suarez took the game far from Girona's reach by netting the third goal for the visitor in the 69th minute of the game, the striker received a well placed Sergi Roberto pass, leaving the goalkeeper helpless with his low curvy effort.
Girona responded by introducing Nigerian attacker Kayode Olarenwaju in the 60th minutes of the game.
But there was nothing the Super Eagles star could do as Barca was in total control of the game.

In other La Liga encounter, Diego Costa new side Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 2-0, Real Madrid got lucky with a 2-1 away win over Alves and Malaga and Atletic Bilbao shared the spoil in the an epic six goals thriller.
