Talented Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League opener because of a pimple on his leg.
The wonderkid has picked up an infection from shaving his legs, Spanish media reports.
Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Asensio, 21, is out of the home clash with APOEL.
And when asked by journalists what the problem was, the Real boss couldn’t hide his amusement at the problem affecting his playmaker.
Zidane giggled: “A pimple… which stopped him pulling up his socks.”
And with the Cypriot side not expected to trouble the defending European champions, Zidane will give Asensio a night off.
Zidane also reckons Cristiano Ronaldo‘s tax problems will not affect Real’s prospects of a winning a consecutive Champions League hat-trick.
Superstar Ronaldo looks set to return to the starting line-up tonight, his first club game since receiving a five-match ban after his red card in the Spanish Super Cup final.
The Portuguese ace pushed referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea when he was sent off in the win over Barcelona last month, for which he was suspended for an extra four games.
