Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has given his thoughts after Dutchman Frank De Boer was sacked as manager of Crystal Palace after managing just four Premier League games.

The Dutchman has seen his team lose all their matches without scoring a goal and has been given the boot after just 77 days.

Speaking ahead of his side's first Champions League game against Qarabag on Tuesday, September 12, Conte says managers are always vulnerable to job loss.

He said: : "I am sorry for him. It's normal when you start to work you try to ask for a bit of time. It's a pity"

"We know our job is this. One game you win & you are top, then you lose & you are the worst coach in the world"

"Every club must judge the work of the coach. Sometimes there is a bit of emotion and you take a very strong decision"
