- Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker has signed another five-year deal
- But the Englishman has been sent on loan to Middlesbrough
- This will come as another disappointment for Antonio Conte
Englishman Lewis Baker has extended his contract at Chelsea FC by signing another five-year deal, but the Blues have sent him on loan to championship side Middlesbrough.
The news will however come as another disappointment for Chelsea coach Antonio Conte who has been complaining of shortage of arrivals at Stamford Bridge.
Baker made his Chelsea first-team debut in an FA Cup tie at Derby County in 2014. He is also an FA Youth Cup and Under-21 Premier League-winner with Chelsea Academy.
The 22-year-old midfielder has spent the past two seasons on loan at Vitesse Arnhem where he impressed and helped them win the Dutch Cup in April 2017.
