Newly promoted Premier league side Newcastle United has emerged as favourites to sign Nigerian striker Kayode Olanrewaju, as it believed that there won’t be issues on securing work permit for the Nigerian striker, ScoreNigeria reports.
“They are a top club who are back in the Premier League after they were relegated the previous season,” a source familiar with this transfer informed.
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez had moaned about the few signings by the club leading up to their return to the big stage.
Another source assured that apprehension about Kayode facing work permit issues was unfounded.

“Just wait and see how things play out in the next couple of days,” he simply said.
Kayode made his Eagles debut in March in a friendly against Senegal in London.
He currently plays for FK Austria Wien in Austria and scored an impressive 17 goals in 33 games in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
