Coach Salisu Yusuf has named Ifeanyi Ubah FC goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa as captain of the Super Eagles ahead of the 2018 CHAN qualifiers.

The Eagles tactician also named Enyimba International defender Chima Akas the assistant captain.

Nigeria are set to face Benin Republic on August 11, 2017 in their first game of the CHAN qualifiers.

Legit.ng reported that Coach Yusuf invited 30 players to camp ahead of Nigeria's first leg tie against Benin Republic.

25 players have reportedly arrived at the camp in Kano as Former NFA boss, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima visited the players to give them words of advice.

The fifth edition of the CHAN competition will be held in Kenya with 16 teams to play in the tournament scheduled to hold from January 11 to February 2, 2018.
