- Dani Alves offered £240,000-per-week to join French giants PSG
- The Brazilian looked set to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City
- PSG already have Serge Aurier and Thomas Munier as right-backs
Former Juventus and Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Sources close to ESPN FC, said the French giant made a late bid to lure him from under Manchester City's noses.
According to L'Equipe, Unai Emery's side offered the player £240,000-per-week while City were offering the 34-year-old about £115,000-per-week.
The Brazil right-back was granted his wish to be released from the final year of his contract at Juventus and publicly said he was happy to link up with Pep Guardiola once again.
However, PSG made a last-minute effort to lure the player with credit being given to sporting director Antero Henrique and his assistant Maxwell, who is a close friend of Alves.
Alves landed in Paris on Tuesday and underwent his medical at the American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
The Brazilian is expected to pen a two-year contract with the Qatari backed club.
PSG already have Thomas Meunier and Serge Aurier at right-back but Aurier has been heavily linked with a move away this summer.
Manchester City can take solace in the fact that they have signed youngster Douglas Luiz from Vasco Da Gama.
