Belgian international soccer star Romelu Lukaku has expressed happiness after agreeing to join Premier League giants Manchester United.
Lukaku was widely reported to be considering a return to Premier League champions Chelsea, but the Red Devils hijacked the deal from the Blues.
He is currently enjoying his break in Los Angeles, and fresh report obtained by NAIJ.com is that he has passed his medical examination and will soon be unveiled in America.
“This is an opportunity that I’ve always wanted since I was a child.
“When Manchester United came calling, I didn’t have to think twice. So I’m really delighted to hopefully be part of their history.”
When asked why he chose United over former club Chelsea, Lukaku said: “I would say, ‘Who would say no to the biggest club in the world?’
“Best stadium in England. The best fans. This is the perfect opportunity. I always said I wanted to play for a team that’s challenging for every trophy that there is.”
Romelu Lukaku is now expected to lead Manchester United attack next season in the Premier League and also the UEFA Champions League.
