Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has reportedly requested to join rivals Manchester City amidst speculations over his move away from the North London club.
The Chilean has been heavily linked with a move to top European clubs like Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City.
The 28-year-old is set for a reunion with his former manager at Barcelona Pep Guardiola if he is to make the switch to the Manchester club.
Reports say the two-time Copa America winner has decided to stay in England in his quest for Champions League football.

A source close to Sanchez said: “Not having European competition of the level of the Champions League is significant for Alexis.
“He is motivated by playing in it, and winning it.”
“Alexis spoke with his Chile team-mates in Russia. He explained the situation to them and he also spoke with his family.
“Everybody came to the same conclusion: that it would be best to end his spell with Arsenal and move to City,” the source added.
