England have won the U-20 FIFA World Cup with six Nigerians within their ranks who NAIJ.com have profiled.
The World Cup win in Korea was England's first international trophy of any kind since Sir Alf Ramsey led the nation to the 1966 World Cup trophy.
Winning is not all, it was quite interesting discovering that England had six players with Nigerian heritage within their ranks.
Take a look at those six players;
1. Sheyi Ojo
Oluwaseyi Babajide "Sheyi" Ojo, 19, is already playing for the Liverpool first team with 13 appearances to his name in all competitions.
Played in four matches including the final as England won the title. Has suggested in the past that he could represent Nigeria.
2. Josh Onomah
Fans of the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur would recognize Joshua Oghenetega Peter "Josh" Onomah. The 20-year-old has made more than 30 appearances for Spurs since his debut in 2014 though he is yet to become a regular starter.
Mostly played as a back-up at the World Cup and have never indicated a desire to play for Nigeria.
3. Ovie Ejaria
Another Liverpool man with Nigerian heritage is Oviemuno Dominic O. "Ovie" Ejaria who played mostly as a back-up. He has two appearance for the Reds in the league. Has said he will play for England before considering Nigeria.
4. Ademola Lookman
Lookman is already a first team regular at Everton. The 19-year-old has been described as a player who will make it to the top of the game by Ronald Koeman.
Ademola Lookman Olajade Lookman was a key player at the World Cup for the junior Three Lions. In early 2017, Lookman turned down the opportunity to switch allegiance to Nigeria after an approach from the nation's coach Gernot Rohr
5. Dominic Solanke
The former Chelsea man recently joined Liverpool and expect him to shine under Jurgen Klopp who loves his kind of striker. Tall, pacey, good link-up play and versatility.
Was named best player at the World Cup with four goals, joining the likes of Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba to win the award.
Dominic Ayodele "Dom" Solanke-Mitchell has indicated interest in playing for Nigeria.
6. Fikayo Tomori
Defender Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola "Fikayo" Tomori could play for Canada, Nigeria or England. He was a key defender at the World Cup. The Chelsea man has never indicated an interest in playing for Nigeria however.
