Barcelona star Lionel Messi has expanded his business interests in Spain to hotels.
According to the Mirror, Messi brought out a reported £26m (N10.4bn) to buy the four-star MiM hotel located on the Mediterranean resort of Sitges.
Sitges, just 20 miles south of Barcelona, is known as Spain’s same-relationship capital.
The MiM hotel was initially opened in 2013 and for the past month has been managed by the Majestic Group, which owns four hotels in Barcelona and acts as advisor to another hotel in Majorca.
The firm will continue managing the 77-room hotel, which has a large spa and top-notch conference facilities.

Rooms at the Mim hotel cost around £220 to £260 a night in high season with the resort also having a “well-equipped spa with a water circuit for wellbeing lovers.”
