''I excelled at the Academy and it paved ways for me to enter Kwara United where I did well before I joined ABS FC.
''Football has never given me any course to regret my action and like other parent who would not want their children to play football. My mum and my dad have always been there for me,'' he said.
Gata also explained that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is his role model, but admitted that his dreams is to play for Spanish and European champions Real Madrid.
''Lionel Messi is my role model, and I always try to play like him anytime I am on the pitch, but Real Madrid is my dream team and I know and have the believe that I will play for them one day,'' Gata said to NAIJ.com.
Meanwhile, Gata and his ABS FC teammates currently occupy 11th position on the NPFL standings, and the Saraki Boys will play Ifeanyi Ubah in their next fixture.
