UEFA has announced it Champions League team of the season which is unsurprisingly dominated by Real Madrid players.
Real Madrid defeated Juventus 4 - 1 in the final which was was Real's 12th in European Cup/Champions League history and was also the third time the Spanish champions have lifted the trophy in the last four years.
Hence the inclusion of the like of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Casemiro, and Cristiano Ronaldo comes as no surprise.
Players from Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Monaco made up the 19 man squad.
Gianluigi Buffon, who lost the third final of his career on Saturday, is named as one of the two goalkeepers, with Atletico's Jan Oblak his understudy.
Diego Godin and Leonardo Bonucci are the only two non-Real players to be named in defence, with Juventus' Miralem Pjanic and Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko earning places in the midfield.
The usual suspects Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Antoine Griezmann are in attack alongside Monaco prodigy Kylian Mbappe.
