Javier Mascherano suffers cut head, concussion and a twisted knee injury all at once

Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano has suffered what is probably the worst form of injuries in the history of football.

The Argentina was taken off just 11 minutes into Barcelona's Copa Del Rey final clash with Alaves after he was left on the floor by Marcos Llorente.

From first look it seemed the Argentine has only suffered a cut to the head but Barcelona claim he has suffered more injuries.

The club tweeted: “Mascherano has suffered a cut, which needed stitches, and concussion as well as a injury to his right knee which will require further tests.”

Just after landing, blood immediately started pouring from the defender's head in which he also twisted his knee

He left the field clutching his leg as he was carried off in pain – although he did return on crutches after the final whistle to lift the prize.

Barcelona won the final with goals from Messi, Neymar and PAco Alcacer giving the Catalans the win despite Theo Hernandez' equalizer.
