Manchester City's hope of finishing among the top four Premier League teams at the end of the season now look certain after beating West Brom 3-1 on Tuesday night, May 16, 2017.
Pep Guardiola's men went into this encounter knowing fully well that a slip against West Brom will give fifth placed Arsenal a good chance of overtaking them on the League standings.
Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus scored the first goal in the 27th minute after being set-up by Kevin De Bruyne.
West Brom defense were broken again two minutes later as Kevin De Bruyne scored the second goal for the Citizens.
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure netted the third and winning goal as Manchester City moved to third position on the Premier League standings with 75 points.
Also on same night, Alexis Sanchez was superb as Arsenal beat relegated Sunderland at the Emirates.
