- Jose Mourinho to start Sergio Romero in goal for Man Utd ahead of Europa League final clash
- The shot-stopper will start ahead of first choice David de Gea against Ajax on May 24
- The Argentine has conceded 6 goals in 16 appearances for the Reds this season
Manchester United edged Celta Vigo on both legs of the Europa League semi-final tie to qualify for the final of the competition.
United boss Jose Mourinho has already selected the goalkeeper to start ahead of final clash with Ajax as he has two world-class stoppers to choose from.
The 'Special One' has played Sergio Romero in almost all their Europa League games this season and the Argentine has been selected by Jose Mourinho to man the post in the finals.
The shot-stopper has been incredible this season conceding 6 goals in 16 appearances for the Old Trafford side.
He is set to start ahead of first choice David de Gea who has just made 3 appearances for United in the Europa League.
The Portuguese manager made this clear on Friday, May 12, in a press conference.
He said: "I think it's fair Sergio is going to play in the final and David accepts that, especially because (De Gea) has played three Europa League matches (group stage) already. If we win the trophy, David wins the trophy too."
The final of the European competition is set to be played on May, 24 at Stockholm City, Sweden and the English giants will be hoping for a win as that is their best chance of getting into Champions League next season.
