Chelsea have made their first signing of the summer as they sign Billy Gilmour from Scottish giants Rangers for £500,000.
The 15-year-old is a top-notch attacking midfielder and the Stamford Bridge side have just made the teenager their first transfer in the summer.
The London club had to battle with other top clubs in Europe for the young prospect's signature.
The youngster revealed to his club in Scotland that he wanted to make a switch to Chelsea’s academy.
A deal for the prodigy is already in place as he becomes an official Chelsea player when the transfer window opens on June 1.
According to a statement from the Scottish club: “Rangers can confirm that agreement has been reached for our under-16 player Billy Gilmour to join Chelsea in the summer."
"The club’s preference would have been for Billy to stay at Rangers but when he made clear his desire to move to the Premier League it was important that we maximised the commercial value for him."
