Spanish club Real Madrid have gone to the top of the La Liga standings after beating visiting Valencia 2-1 on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal for his side in the 27th minute to keep Real's title hope alive.

Legit.ng can report that the former Manchester United winger was not part of his side's last match, and they did not disappoint as they thrashed Deportivo.

Real Madrid started the game on an impressive note knowing that a win would send them to the top of the table, and in the 27th minute, Daniel Carvajal made a superb cross for Ronaldo to score with a powerful header.

But the visitors pulled a surprise in the 82nd minute when Daniel Parejo scored, Marcelo then scored four minutes later to give Real a deserved victory.
