Audu Ejo's men were taught a good football lesson as the Italian beach soccer team dominated the game from the start to the end.
But it was the Nigerian side that first scored in the duel played at the Nassau stadium in Bahamas when Abu Azeez fired-in the first goal, but the Italians responded with flurry of goals.
Gori was the man of the match as he scored six goals against the Nigerian side which condemned the Sand Eagles to a 6-12 defeat.
Nigeria will now face Mexico in their second game on Saturday, April 29,, and captain of the Nigerian side Isiaka Olawale said to NAIJ.com that him and his teammates will redeem themselves.
''We are not happy to have lost to Italy, and we want to be all Nigerians to forgive us for the defeat as we promise to shine in our next game,'' Olawale who plays for El Kanemi Warriors in the Nigeria Professional Football League said.
