Breaking: Ex England defender Ugo Ehiogu of Nigerian descent dies

- Former England defender Ugo Ehiogu is dead

- He passed on April 21, 2017 after suffering from heart attack

- The 44-year-old is of Nigerian descent

Erstwhile England defender Ugo Ehiogu has died in hospital in England after suffering a heart attack at Premier League club Tottenham's training ground on April 20, 2017.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that the 44-year-old who is of Nigerian descent was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed during a training session before he passed on.

Ehiogu enjoyed a playing career at the highest level having represented Aston Villa and Middlesbrough over 350 times. He also earned four caps for England.
