Chelsea first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was not available on Sunday, April 16, 2017 as the Blues suffered a defeat at Manchester United which could damage their quest to win the Premier League title at the end of the season.
NAIJ.com can report that the 24-year-old was said to have suffered an ankle injury after being ordered by the Blues to participate in commercial activities with the NBA.
The Belgian keeper was instructed to participate in various basketball drills including shooting hoops and a mini-game.

He twisted his ankle after landing awkwardly when he was asked to jump up and receive the ball.
Courtois was not the only Chelsea player involved in the commercial activities as Nemanja Matic, Nathan Ake, Marcos Alonso and Asmir Begovic were also involved.
This season, Thibaut Courtois has been a vital piece in Chelsea’s solid defense keeping more clean sheets (13) than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.
