Anderlecht held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals in Brussels.
United started the game well but lost their composure when Jesse Lingard struck the post in the 16th minute.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave United the lead in the 37th minute scoring a rebound after Marcus Rashford's shot was initially parried.
Leander Dendoncker’s late header in the 85th minute however cancelled out the Armenian’s first half goal in the crunch Europa League fixture.
NAIJ.com reports that the Red Devils dominated the game but failed to convert their chances against the Belgian side. Paul Pogba was guilty of missing a clear chance in the 82nd minute.
The Old Trafford side will go to the second leg with an away goal and they will look to qualify for semifinals of the competition as this is their best chance of getting a Champions League ticket.
Jose Mourinho's men will face Anderlecht in a second leg encounter as the Reds hope to avoid a slip against the Belgian side at Old Trafford next week Thursday.
