Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar missed two penalties for Shanghai SIPG in their 1-0 defeat against Urawa Red Diamonds.

The £52million star experienced one of the worst games in his entire career as he failed to score from the spot twice when his team were a goal down in the Asian Champions League.

The Brazilian who linked up with former manager Andre Villa Baos at the Chinese club was fouled in the box in the 2nd half of the game but failed to convert it.

He was also given another chance to redeem himself later in the game from the spot but the Brazilian failed to capitalize on the second opportunity as he fired the ball over the bar.

Oscar in action for former team Chelsea.

Shanghai SIPG coach Andre Villa Baos was sad about the Brazilian’s performance but was still optimistic about the player’s development.

He said: “In our next match against FC Seoul we will try to gain the points and nail down qualification”.

The 25 year old left Chelsea in January after completing a £52million move to Chinese top club Shanghai SIPG.
