- The Spanish club want the 19-year-old to join the club next season
- But they will face serious competition from Real Madrid and Liverpool
Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly joined rivals Real Madrid and Premier League club Liverpool in serious battle to sign Atletico Madrid defender Theo Hernandez.
This season, the 19-year-old has been impressive while on loan at Alaves and Barcelona have now thrown in their hat into the ring to land the player.
Real Madrid and Liverpool have been in contention to sign the player this summer, but Barcelona were said to have made a £20 million offer for the left full back.
NAIJ.com can report that Barcelona chiefs wants Theo Hernandez to replace Jordi Alba at the club next season.
Alba has been unable to break into Luis Enrique's 3-4-3 formation this term and with another left-footer coming in, his days could be numbered.
Theo Hernandez has appeared 26 times for the La Liga side this campaign and has shown plenty of attacking capabilities in addition to his defensive work providing three assists.
