Post match events at two centers in match day 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League over the week got ugly with fans attacking players and coaches.

Kano Pillars fans attacked and injured Akwa United players and coaches after the Uyo based club side defeated their team 0-1 in at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Coach Effiong Moses (MON), a member the Super Eagles team that won the Nations Cup in 1980 was one of the major victims.

The Sai Masu Gida fans threatened to beat up the referee with some even going as far as throwing stones, sachet water into the pitch.

NAIJ.com understands that after the match, players and officials of Akwa United had to be locked inside the dressing room until security helped them out of the stadium.

Another top club Enyimba International suffered such fate as they saw their team bus vandalised despite losing away to Katsina United.

Fans broke the shields of Enyimba team bus

Just before the end of the match, the crowd became violent towards the People's Elephant attacking the players and officials, destroying their bus.
