Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Sadio Mane will be out of the season.
Several scans finally revealed the extent of the injury he picked up in their game against Everton on Saturday.
The 24 year old Senegalese was taken off after collision with Leighton Baines in their 3-1 victory against Everton.
Jurgen Klopp had earlier admitted that it was"pretty much impossible for him to play again this season".
NAIJ.com recalls that Liverpool drew three and lost two out of five games the last time they were without the Senegalese due to AFCON 2017 duty.
The Reds are currently third in the Premier League table with seven games to go and they hope to maintain that position inorder to guarantee them Champions League spot.
Liverpool will travel away from home to face Stoke City at the Bet 365 stadium and they will be looking to avoid a defeat to keep them in top 4 position.
