Manchester United fans are furious midfielder Jesse Lingard has signed a new contract at Old Trafford which will expire in 2021.
The Englishman is expected to earn a whoping £100,000 a week and his contract states that he has the option of a one year extension.
The 24-year-old England international has made 70 appearances for United, who he joined as a seven-year-old.
He has also won four caps for his country.
majority of fans are unhappy that an inconsistent player like Lingard is earning so much while many wonder the rationle behind extending his deal and tripling his wages.

Lingard became a household name in the 2015-16 season, scoring six goals in 40 games for United including the winner in the 2-1 FA Cup final win over Crystal Palace.
Lingard has netted on his two club appearances at Wembley this season also, in the Community Shield win over Leicester and the EFL Cup triumph against Southampton.
