Coach Kashimawo Laloko bares his mind in a phone interview on the state of Nigerian football as regards the early exit of Nigerian clubs from CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup in the first round of the tournaments respectively.
According to the experienced tactician, the super eagles coach Getnot Rohr is under the influence of some personalities and that is the major reason for his over reliance on foreign players.
Laloko stated that the first round exit of the Nigerian clubs campaigning in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup are reason not far-fetched, among which are pointers that the technical crew of these clubs where not given technical assistance by the football federation unlike the past.
He also faulted lack of proper programming for the Nigerian Premier League:
He said: "The Nigerian league calendar system is counterproductive as it doesn’t enable the Nigerian club sides campaigning in CAF competitions the opportunity of good blending and proper preparation to face their opposition who are already steamed up.
Laloko also berated the League Management Company (LMC) of allowing so many manipulations that have hindered the emergence of true league champions.
"The Nigerian Premier League have no credible supervisors and assessors, they are people from same colony, so one should expect manipulation at some league venues.
“These factors can only be check mated by sincere match and referee assessors and secondly where the LMC organizes a super league to produce a true champion."
NAIJ.com recalls that the super eagles played a friendly match against Senegal on March 24, where home based players were not selected, Laloko insisted that coach Gernot Rohr is having people around him who are obviously confusing him.
