- Atletico Madrid are monitoring the situation of want-away striker Alexis Sanchez
- The Spanish side face competition for his signature from Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern
- The Chilean has warned Arsenal that he wants to play for a team with a winning mentality
- Sanchez will cost upward of €58 million, which could be problematic for Atlético
Atlético Madrid are keeping an eye on the situation of want-away Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez with the club eyeing a move.
Sanchez who has already played for Barcelona in Spain is very high up Simeone's list of potential incoming player.
Atletico are however presently serving a FIFA transfer ban but if it is cancelled this summer, they would make a move for the Chilean star.
The 28-year-old has a contract until 2018 but has yet to sign an extension with the Emirates stadium outfit and Arsenal might be forced to sell him in the summer or risk losing him for nothing the year after.
NAIJ.com recalls that Sanchez recently said he wants to remain and finish his contract with Arsene Wenger's side but warned that he is keen on playing with a winning football team.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone himself has his contract expiring in the summer of 2018 but it is looking increasingly likely that he will see out his deal at the Vicente Calderon.
Sanchez meanwhile has been identified by Simeone because he has experience in LaLiga, works impressively hard and can add goals and dynamism to Atletico's attack.
To sign Sanchez the Spanish side would have something around €58 million, which could be problematic.
They will also face stiff competition for his services against the likes of PSG, Juventus, Bayern and Chelsea, who can all easily pay the €58 million needed to sign Sanchez.
