In a bid to give back to the society, Super Eagles forward Emem Eduok, has taken to social media to offer his widows mite to teeming fans who seem to be in need.
The 23-year-old Esperance of Tunisia player who is currently on loan at Turkish club Kasımpaşa dished-out the sum of N20,000 to a supporter on Facebook, after the contact answered a question correctly.
In an exclusive chat with NAIJ.com Sports, Eduok who was in action on Saturday, March 18, when Kasimpasa defeated Osmanlispor FK 3 -2 in the Super Lig disclosed that he grew up from a poor background and surely knows what Nigerians are facing back home.
“I just want to put smile on someone’s face out there. I am from a very poor background all the way from Itu Local government in Akwa Ibom state.
“The place is a very small community, and that was where I grew up. I have faced a lot of challenges and I hope do more," he raved
Recall that the former Akwa United star was the first player to register a goal at the newly built Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, when Nigeria faced a selected Ghanaian side in a friendly, when it was commissioned in November, 2014.
The player however vowed to continue with such gesture.
