Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has rated Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses as one of the surprises of the 2016/2017 Premier League season.
According to Carragher, he never expected Moses to have a future at Stamford Bridge, because he had been on loan for so much.
But in a write up on Daily Mail, Carragher admitted that he has been hugely impressed by Moses’ revival this term, particularly with his being moved into a new position after a career spent mostly in midfield.
He wrote: "Another thing you want a manager to do is improve players – and look at Victor Moses.
"I never expected him (Moses) to have a future at Chelsea, given he had been out on loan so much, and the levels he has shown have taken me by complete surprise.
"He has been excellent in his new role of right wing back."
Moses spent the three seasons prior to this one out on loan with Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham before returning to Chelsea last summer.
But having failed to impress in any of those three spells away from the Blues, the Nigeria international suddenly became a regular starter for Antonio Conte’s men this season.
