A top flight football match in Coratia was interrupted when a hooligan holding a metal bar attacked a referee.
Fierce rivals Hajduk Split's and Rijeka faced off on Saturday, March 11 as the hooligan easily walked into the pitch and almost hit the referee who had to run for his life.
He angrily pursued the official until stewards finally took action and escorted him from the stadium.
The game had earlier been stopped for several minutes due the home support setting off of fireworks before the pitch invader easily walked into the pitch without interference.
As he was escorted away, missiles were thrown at the stewards from some fans behind the goal.
The game finished 1-1, the away side Rijeka remaining the only side yet to lose in all competitions in Europe as they saw their gap at the top cut to four points.
Champions League qualification still seems likely come the end of the season.
