Head coach of the Nigeria's senior men national team known as the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has invited striker Kayode Olarenwaju for the friendly games against Senegal and Burkina Faso in March 2017.
Olarenwaju who currently plays for Austria Vienna was called up by the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to replace injured Wolfsburg’s attacker Victor Osimhen.
''Yes, Olarenwaju Kayode has been invited to the Super Eagles and it is now left for him to convince the selectors that his selection is worthy enough,'' an NFF official told NAIJ.com on Thursday afternoon March 9, 2017.
Kayode is yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles, though he has represented Nigeria at youth level, notably playing in the 2009 U-17 World Cup and U-20 World Cups in 2011 and 2013.
Nigeria will face Senegal on March 23 and Burkina Faso on March 27. Both matches will be held at the Hive Stadium in London.
