Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has explained that Swedish professional football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be the winner of the next FIFA Ballon d'Or award.
The 35-year-old has been in great form for Manchester United this season scoring 26 goals in 38 appearances in all competition in his first season at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is now frustrated that despite all his achievements with many biggest clubs in Europe, the former PSG striker has not won the FIFA Ballon D'Or award.
Real Madrid star Critiano Ronaldo is the current holder of the prestigious FIFA Ballon d'Or award, and Mourinho who has also managed Real Madrid and Chelsea belives Zlatan can dethrone the Portuguese international.
''What Zlatan has done is amazing, the number of goals he has scored for the club is great and I think he deserve to be named the next world footballer of the year.
''I can't just believe that despite all his achievements, he has not won the award and I want him to be considered for it in the next edition,'' Mourinho explained
Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's current one year contract will expire at the end of the ongoing Premier League season, and Mourinho is optimistic that he will extend his stay at Old trafford.
