- Mesut Ozil has not travelled for the clash between Arsenal and Liverpool
- The midfielder has been suffering from flu and has missed training
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil will miss the clash against Liverpool as he is yet to recover from flu.
The Germany midfielder has not travelled with the Arsenal squad ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Anfield.
According to a report by Goal.com, Ozil was sent home from training by the club doctor on Wednesday but Wenger has remained optimistic his player would be fit for the clash.
The Gunners ‘No.10’ was told to go home to recover from his flu at home but should be ready for next week’s Champions League last-16 second leg game against Bayern Munich.
Victory at Anfield would close the gap on league leaders Chelsea to ten points.
It would also take Arsenal to second place until the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City play their respective games on Sunday.
