Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has explained that he did not deserve to be red carded in his team's 3-3 draw against Palmas on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
The Welsh international footballer was sent off by referee David Fernandez for pushing Palmas' Jon Viera with the score at 1-1 in the thrilled encounter.
His red card nearly cost Real Madrid the match as Palmas then went 3-1 ahead, but Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo proved himself as the world best player by helping Real to an incredible draw.
Although Real Madrid saved themselves from a defeat in the tie, but the Galaticos have lost the top spot on the standings to their arch rivals Barcelona.
The 27-year-old former Tottenham player will now miss Real Madrid's tie at Eibar and there is also a possibility of him getting a longer ban depending on the referee's report.
"I was shown the yellow for the foul, I was then pushed and I just pushed him [Viera] back. I want to apologize to the team and the fans. I hope to learn from my mistake." Bale said.
