La Palmas took the opportunity score two quick goals in three minutes. Jonathan Viera slotted home a penalty kick, while former AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng made it 3 - 1 against Los Blancos.
Ronaldo put Madrid back in the game in the 86th minute with a penalty before heading home the equalizer in the 90th minute from a James Rodriguez corner.
