- Sergio Ramos has slammed Gerard Pique for saying referees favour Real Madrid
- Accordng to Pique, Barcelona are not as favoured as Real Madrid are with referees
- The Barcelona defender tweeted a series of pictures to back his claim
- Real Madrid were awarded a controversial penalty in a 3 - 2 win over Villareal
Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos, rejected the claims of Gerard Pique that La Liga officials Barcelona as they do for the Madrid side.
Real, who came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 over Villarreal on Sunday, were awarded a controversial penalty in the win which Cristiano Ronaldo converted from.
This only made Pique reinforce his claims that officials make decisions in favor of Madrid.
Speaking to reporters after the win over Villareal, Ramos said: "I would be surprised if it would be [Lionel] Messi [to write the tweet].
"We already know about Pique's world, where everything's a plot against him.
"The referees have a difficult job, we have to try and make them more comfortable. Referees sometimes give you and others take away, but you have to be prepared for everything.
"We are not going to get into these issues because it will not change anything, the three points will be added and we will continue to be first."
The Real Madrid captain's comments come in response to a tweet by the outspoken Barcelona man, in which he highlights several incidents of alleged controversy that have benefited Real in recent times.
"Against the same teams. 8 points," he says in reference to the two that Barcelona picked up from the games compared to the six that Real Madrid earned. "These are cuts from the press of Madrid by the way," he says in an attempt to add legitimacy to the claim.
It will be a curious to see how the upcoming El Clasico in April will pan out.
