Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has explained that he has finally rejected a mega million move to play in the Chinese Super League.
There have been lots of report that the 24-year-old Nigerian footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Turkish club Trabzonspor will be joining his captain at the national team Mikel Obi in China.
But the player has now told African football that he will not be jumping on the bandwagon of Nigerian players moving to China claiming he still has a lot to accomplish in Europe.
"I have finally decided not to go to China despite the mega offers from there. I just told the club that I am not interested in leaving Europe now.
"My reasons are because I have a lot to achieve in Europe, I have my mind here in Europe and I am still focusing on becoming greater in Europe and hope to achieve my aims before I can leave.
"The Chinese clubs kept increasing the offer thinking it's because of money, but I said no to the move for now.
“I want to be focused so as to achieve my aim here with better opportunities." Onazi explained
Onazi began playing football in the streets of Jos in 1998 and his football skills and abilities drew a lot of attention to him and afforded him the opportunity to play in some academies in the city.
He has previously featured for for Nigerian football League side Elkanemi Warriors and also Lazio in the Italian Serie A.
