One of the most religious countries in the world is Nigeria where people are so passionate when it comes to their spiritual well-beings. People of the country are either Muslims, Christians or idol worshipers.
Here we take a look at the country's national football team and the number of players who are Muslims.
1. Ahmed Musa
Nigerian international striker Ahmed Musa was born on October 14, 1992 in Jos which is the capital of Plateau state. Musa started his football career at GBS football academy in Jos in 2008 before moving to defunct JUTH FC in 2009, he also play for former Nigerian League champions Kano Pillars before moving to Europe.
The 24-year-old presently plays for Premier League club Leicester City and he is one of the devoted Muslims in the Super Eagles.
2. Shehu Abdullahi
Shehu Abdullahi is a Nigerian football midfielder who plays for Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta. He is one of the Super Eagles players that would never forget Late Stephen Keshi who gave him the chance to wear the Eagles jersey in 2014.
The 23-year-old was born and raised in Sokoto which is the northern part of Nigeria, and he is a devoted Muslim who don't joke with serving Allah.
3. Rabiu Ibrahim
Born on March 15, 1991, Rabiu Ibrahim is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Belgian club K.A.A. Gent as an attacking midfielder and he is a devoted Muslim who has gone to Saudi Arabia for the Holy Pilgrimage.
4. Ramon Azeez
Ramon Azeez was born on December 12, 1992 in Nigerian capital city, Abuja and he is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Spanish club UD Almería as a central midfielder. Azeez is also a devoted Muslim who plays for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
