Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed happiness after his side's incredible 5-3 win over visiting Monaco in the UEFA Champions League duel on Tuesday, February, 21, 2017.
City came back twice in the encounter before they eventually recorded an emphatic victory at the Etihad stadium.
Guardiola has now admitted that his wards were amazing in the game, but stressed that they were lucky to have secured the victory over the French side.
"A lot of things happened but in the moment we were lucky. We were stable mentally. The old and young guys in the team played amazing.
"To live this experience helps us a lot in the future.
"Monaco have more history than us in the competition and you need this kind of experience to learn and improve.
"Of course anything can happen in Monaco and we have to score goals." Guardiola explained.
Manchester City must avoid a 2-0 defeat in France in the return leg for them to qualify for the quarter final.
