Eden Hazard has praised Antonio Conte for helping recover his confidence after admitting he was “not good enough” last season.
Hazard is a vital part of Chelsea’s title push, but struggled badly last term as the Blues finished 10th and Jose Mourinho lost his job.
The Belgium playmaker believes new boss Conte has brought back the belief within the Chelsea squad which has led to their surge up the table
He said: “Last season everyone knows I was not good enough. But you learn from your mistakes. I gave everything to come back and now I am in my level.
“So I started this season well – fit, with no injuries and it is better to play when you are ready. I want to enjoy being on the pitch. So this is the key.
“It is always a difficult to come back after a bad season, but the boss changed something and tried to give us more confidence.”
Hazard who has scored 10 goals in 28 appearances this season played his part as Chelsea defeated Wolves in the FA Cup this weekend.
